You went camping with your family and brought a lot of stuff. Your truck was a trooper and handled the heavy load. You figured that the heavy locked metal chest containing cooking utensils, cutlery and various odds and ends will be secure enough for the long travel and it remained intact on the bed of your truck as you reached the park. You must have failed to pack the rest of your cargo well enough because you cannot find several rolls of sleeping beds and the folded up tent. You ended up driving part of your way back hoping to find the rest of your gear but you gave up when it was getting dark. You got a lot of flak from your wife for that unfortunate accident. Suffice it to say that no one enjoyed the rest of the trip despite you renting the rest of your camping gear at exorbitant prices. Learning your lesson, you vowed to have tarp over your stuff that is tightly secured with bull ring tie down the next time you travel so that the bumps on the road will not dislodge your belongings. You promised your wife another weekend getaway to make up for the last time.
You assessed your truck for the trip ahead. The truck bed looked the worse for wear because of all the activities that you do with the kids. There are several scratches and nicks from several biking, skiing, and fishing trips that are visible from afar but you look at them as part of the memories that you spent with your family.
